garden nookslog fireattentive staff
The gardens feature many little nooks perfect for peaceful reading by a log fire. Breakfast offered a great selection of cooked items. The waters edge is easily accessible for morning or evening strolls. The staff provided excellent service and were friendly.
The food options were somewhat limited.

the staff were very thoughtful. they were really good too.
The room was quite warm, even though the windows were open. i suspect there might be heating pipes running close by. the breakfast was nothing to write home about. The scrambled eggs tasted like powder, and everything seemed to have pea shoots on it.

The views from the dining room overlooking the loch were certainly excellent.
The room showed some neglect. The window didn't close properly (a major inconvenience), and housekeeping failed to replace the toilet roll, even after we requested service.

the room was very spacious. it had nice amenities inside. there were lovely fireplaces throughout the place! the bar offered many drinks.
The hotel lacked charm in some areas. The bedroom felt tired and basic.

The staff greeted us in a friendly manner. they were very helpful. the manager gave us a little tour while escorting us to our room. It was a warm, genuine welcome!
