The room had two large beds. It was spacious. both bath and shower were clean. the breakfast offered excellent choices and the staff proved very helpful. they stored our bicycles safely. This gave us great peace of mind.

Convenient Location and Updated Decor

The hotel is close to the station. The rooms are smart. The reception area looks nice. I also enjoyed a great welcome at reception. I was upgraded to a lovely King Club Room on the 6th floor. Club lounge drinks were excellent both nights. Breakfast buffet was also great (i liked the eggs benedict!).

On arrival, i agreed to charge my card £50 for incidentals, but the hotel then took an additional £50 and a further £192 for the room cost which i had already paid.

The spa area has a nice pool, but it can get quite busy, especially on Saturday afternoons with children playing and splashing. There is access to the club lounge, and drinks and canapés are available in the evenings.

The rooms were spacious, clean, decorated nicely and modern. Rooms also include updated decor since the last visit. I had a king club room on the sixth floor. It overlooked the railway station.

The hotel location is very convenient, close to the station. My king club room on the sixth floor had a view of the railway station! The club lounge offered excellent drinks and canapés. The breakfast buffet provided a great variety, and the eggs benedict with salmon were lovely.

The spa area was quite busy. Young children were present in the pool, which somewhat detracted from a relaxing experience.

the breakfast was good enough. i suppose.

I found a questionable stain on the curtains in my room. Not exactly the welcome i was hoping for. the shower didn't drain properly. also, some of the furniture looked like it had survived a small fire, with burns marring the surfaces. great.
