The grounds were beautiful and offered plenty of space for walking.
The staff at reception was not very helpful. They did not show me to my room. My room looked very different from the photos online, so I requested a different room because I felt uncomfortable. The reception staff seemed rude, a letdown. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because of the staff.

damaged furniturebathroom refresh
the castle looked fine from the outside. however, the room i booked, a 'junior suite', wasn't as luxurious as the pictures suggested. the furniture seemed worn and damaged. also, the bathroom really needed updating. it was a bit disappointing overall.

The breakfast selection offered great variety. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit options available. the castle suite i occupied was spacious and well maintained? the decor complemented the historical setting. but the view was amazing!
