The grounds were lovely. The staff was friendly and chatty. I enjoyed a tasty dinner in the bar, and the fish and chips were very good. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, and very nice.
The shower head in the bathroom was rather dirty, and black stuff came from it. My husband cleaned it before I used it.

My room was a good size. I appreciated the dog-friendly accommodations. I also received a takeaway breakfast because I had to leave early. The staff were helpful and friendly about this.
The shower drain was blocked. I found the carpet wet when I entered the room. The bill had incorrect items I had to correct.

the room lacked proper upkeep. i saw cobwebs hanging in one corner of the ceiling, and the bottom sheet did not fit the mattress properly. the toilet flush needed manual intervention each time, because it was not working correctly.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. My room was super clean and provided everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a great choice of options. There was also plenty of parking space, made arrival very easy.
The bathroom door was a little creaky, which woke me up when my partner got up during the night.
