Powered by AI
The Witchery offers a unique and opulent experience near Edinburgh Castle, where guests often find themselves immersed in a historically accurate setting with modern amenities like heated bathroom floors and Dyson hair dryers with multiple attachments. Many appreciate the spacious suites, some spanning multiple rooms, and the delightful continental breakfast delivered to the room, featuring a generous spread of pastries, yogurts, meats, and cheeses - often enough for several people! Some diners have noted extended wait times between courses in the restaurant. However, the hotel's central location puts you steps away from everything.

romantic escape

exquisite hamper turret suite very nice location
The turret suite exceeded every expectation. It was like stepping into another world. breakfast arrived each morning, an exquisite hamper filled with pastries, fruit, and good surprises, a true feast. the location was very nice, a stone's throw from significant historical sites.
The room's historic charm meant some creaky floors. A minor detail in such a splendid setting.

a magical stay

perfect detail breakfast hamper
the beautiful suite library was very nice. the decor showed perfect attention to detail. the breakfast hamper delivered to our room included coffee, tea, juice, pastries, yogurt, cereal and fruit (we could not finish it all!).
the bathroom had terrible water pressure in the shower. the shower was over a tall tub, equipped with fabric shower curtains that clung to my body. there were no shelves for toiletries in the shower.
Dining
10/10
i enjoyed two dinners, one in the secret garden and one in the main dining room. both rooms displayed beautiful decor, with excellent food and service. the restaurant features plenty of choice for non-meat eaters.
Location
9/10
this place stands a short distance from the castle. the royal mile is right next door (i could easily walk to many attractions). the bustle outside did not intrude into the very quiet suite.
Facilities
9/10
the continental breakfast served in the suite included a amazing spread. the bathroom offered both a free-standing bathtub and a large walk-in double shower. my room offered seven windows facing the royal mile.
