A Stay with Mixed Feelings
cigarette smoke thin walls
My room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, quite unpleasant. The carpet seemed old and stained (I really don't think they had been cleaned in a long time). the noise level was high. I could hear people running and shouting in the corridors late at night. The thin walls did not help with sound isolation. It felt a bit like sleeping in a student dorm (maybe even worse).

good breakfast quality food hard bed long walk
The evening meal was well worth it. breakfast was also good. It was busy but there was quantity and quality.
The bed was very hard, and there was not much milk provided in the room for two people. i had to walk a long way to my room. I could easily get lost.

friendly staff comfortable bed quiet room
The staff was friendly at the bar. The bed in my room was comfortable and the room itself was very quiet (i slept like a log!). Everything I needed was readily available in the room. I also appreciated the cleanliness of my room.
Unfortunately, scaffolding obstructed my view.

I found the staff very helpful! They provided excellent assistance. The cleanliness was noticeable throughout the hotel. I particularly enjoyed the cinema with older films available! Parking was available too. This is always a great bonus.

cute staff enjoyable entertainment good swimming area
The staff was very cute and polite. Amy and Beccy on reception were particularly helpful. The swimming area was good, and the entertainment was enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the swimming pool. It was a good size for a relaxing swim.
The lift was not working on my last day, so I had to carry cases down three flights of stairs.

The hotel boasts ample parking spaces. Access to the town via tram is convenient. I found the cleanliness very satisfying and several facilities met my needs. The swimming pool was a highlight for me, and I appreciated the staff's friendliness.
The hard bed and limited milk in the room for two guests were slight drawbacks.
