outdated roomuncomfortable mattress
the room felt quite outdated, needing some refurbishment (especially given the price). the mattress had noticeable dips. it made for an uncomfortable sleep. additionally, the room was quite cold at night. i found it difficult to regulate the temperature to my liking.

the room, while clean, was very COLD at night and i had no control over the temperature.

my room, the 'superior double room four poster bed,' was spacious. the bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep (a good night's sleep is important when travelling). the hotel offered ample parking spaces for all guests. i appreciated the free water bottles provided upon departure.
the noise insulation in some areas was lacking, i could hear sounds from adjacent rooms.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. I enjoyed walking around them. The food was very good. I particularly enjoyed the meals in the restaurant. Every dish was well-prepared.

My room was in the wing away from the castle. it was the cheapest on offer, so i was unsure of what to expect. it was a lovely double room. nicely decorated, furnishings and the bathroom were all scrupulously clean and in good repair. It even had a bath with a shower. in the morning, there was plenty of hot water..
the duvet was wafer thin. room was very cold at night! there was no personal control over the room temperature. i found this slightly inconvenient.

The room had everything you need for a night away from home. tea and coffee facilities were available. toiletries and towels were provided. A tv, mirror, and dressing table were also in the room. a large comfortable bed offered a good night's sleep.

The walls were thin. I could hear everything from the adjacent rooms, even normal conversations. the bathroom looked outdated with worn seals and the shower had very weak water pressure. this.
