“The Caledonian impresses with its blend of historic charm and contemporary luxury, including unique dining experiences and a Guerlain Spa. Its central location places guests steps away from Edinburgh's main attractions, though some services can feel stretched. I think The Caledonian is ideal for travelers wanting a landmark experience, though I'd suggest confirming service expectations beforehand.”

The Caledonian Edinburgh is a grand hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing and with convenient access to public transportation. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer amazing castle views; the beds are also super comfortable. Guests appreciate amenities like the spa facilities and the delicious and varied breakfast buffet, although some have found the hot food to be cold. Dining at The Court for lunch is often considered a highlight, with its ambiance and piano music.
The staff helped with taxis. Breakfast and afternoon tea menus seemed perfect.
The room had too many scratches all over some walls. This came maybe from people's suitcases. There seemed nowhere to go because they crammed a King Bed in a smaller room.
the staff paid attention to details, even remembering my name during my short stay. the breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices available each morning (i especially liked the fresh fruit). the room was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and furnishings. the hotel's central location provided easy access to many restaurants and shops.
