A Look at the Accommodations
friendly staff beautiful building soft mattress strong smell
The building appears really beautiful. I found the staff very friendly. The location proves ideal for a wedding. The hotel restaurant appears very nice.
The room seemed nice, but some things were off. The sheets, duvet, and pillows had a strong smell. I am not sure they were clean. The mattress felt soft and the pillows too small.

cracked tiles dense cobwebs
The cottage room i got was supposedly charming, but it felt more like a forgotten corner. cracked tiles in the bathroom didn't exactly scream luxury. cobwebs outside the window looked like they were auditioning for a halloween movie. Nobody bothered to remove those.

scenic location better meals various options
the location is scenic near the river trent with walking spaces. evening meals have gotten better. breakfast is also very good, it included several options!

limited dinner sticky tables
The dinner menu in the pub felt limited. My choices tasted okay but weren't exciting. The tables felt sticky and unclean and that bothered me. Refinishing the lacquer could help or new cleaning products would be beneficial.

The cottage I stayed in had views of the surrounding landscape. I found a complimentary safe in the room, convenient (it allowed me to securely store my valuables).
