Fantastic Stay!
christmas lunchdelicious saucelovely breakfast
The christmas lunch was fantastic. The food arrived on time and hot. I especially enjoyed the chicken ballantine. That sauce was good. The turkey roast was a fine feast, complete with green vegetables and a yorkie. Breakfast was also lovely with a good selection on the menu, I had a wide selection of well-cooked items.
The nearby streets had limited parking, especially if you didn't leave before 10:00 am.

The room felt warm and cosy. It had a nice atmosphere. An iron and ironing board were also available for use. THIS was very useful. I appreciated having a hairdryer.

The staff were very helpful and friendly . I upgraded to a double room upon arrival (the single would have felt too warm). I appreciated that they welcome dogs in the hotel and bar, and there was even a nice area behind the hotel for dog walks. Breakfast starting early at 7 made it easy to start my day.
My room's door did not close properly. I needed to lift it with my shoulder to enter. The heated towel rail in the bathroom could not be turned off. The room was very hot.

The staff offered help with menu choices and information about nearby attractions. They seemed professional and accommodating ( going above and beyond). Their friendly approach added a personal touch.

The building is quirky and has many odd rooms. There is a lovely area for walking dogs located at the back of the building. This area provided convenience for pet owners.

Check-in was easy and the room was lovely. I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The short rib of beef fell off the bone. Staff made a pack breakfast for my early departure, a thoughtful gesture. I want a return visit here soon.

the staff were friendly enough.
the room was small and cramped. the bathroom was quite dated and the shower pressure was weak, it barely drizzled. i also noticed a stain on the carpet near the bed, it was gross.
