“This is a property that embraces its history as a coaching inn, placing you squarely in Llandovery's market town atmosphere. The location makes it easy to explore the Brecon Beacons, and I think the on-site restaurant's focus on local Welsh ingredients is a real strength. While some aspects need updating, the overall experience holds appeal, especially for those traveling with pets.”

The Castle Hotel is often praised for its comfortable and spacious rooms, some featuring very comfy beds. Many guests enjoyed the plentiful breakfast and the tasty evening meals, including options like the Castle Burger and Eggs Benedict. Its central location in town, right by the castle ruins, is appreciated, though a few guests have mentioned that they would prefer curtains instead of shutters in the rooms. There's also a pub onsite for drinks and food.
