Jesmond Dene House is appreciated for its beautiful surroundings, including a park next door, and its convenient location close to Jesmond's main streets. The rooms are often described as spacious and well-decorated, with some offering a very nice private view onto the gardens. Mixed Experience due to High Costs and Disappointing Room

squeaky floorboards pricey mini bar
The reception was attentive upon arrival at the hotel.
The suite was quite expensive but very disappointing. I noticed squeaky floorboards and a cramped shower, which detracted from the experience. the mini bar items were unreasonably priced.

Wonderful stay!

helpful staff christmas decorations
The staff were really helpful. The building had beautiful Christmas decorations, so it felt warm and cute. We also got mince pies on arrival. It was a lovely gesture.
The bathroom lacked good ventilation. Steam lingered after showers because the extractor fan worked poorly. A window in the shower would help a lot.

Okay stay. restaurant issues

salty duck slow service
I experienced some problems . It took a very long time to receive our evening meal. My duck was too salty. The sauce also tasted too salty. The restaurant seemed understaffed (i found it REALLY inconvenient).
