i found excellent value for my money. the rooms looked freshly painted, so clean! the beds were comfy, and there were tea and coffee facilities in the room. the bar offered a good pint of real ale!

the bedding and towels seemed a bit old to me. i think they could be updated.

the standard double room included fresh towels and toiletries. a tv was mounted on the wall opposite the bed. there was a small desk with adequate lighting, perfect for working, and a wardrobe with hangers.

The staff was amazingly friendly, so helpful and. The bar was busy, it had a lovely atmosphere. My room was clean upstairs. The pub downstairs was ideal, it allowed good conversation at the bar. The staff members were very friendly.

The window did not shut properly. A lot of traffic noise was present.

the owner met me at the bar when i arrived. he offered to lock my bike up for the night and welcomed me like one of the locals. the staff all seemed very friendly.
